Kerri Thornton

Assistant Coach

Kerri is originally from Long Island, New York (specifically Stony Brook) and attended Towson University from 2018-2022 where she was a four-year starter. Kerri earned All-CAA First Team honors in 2022, and helped lead the team to multiple CAA Tournament appearances, the NCAA Tournament First Round in 2021, and the CAA Championship game in 2022. She was also recognized as a 2019 CAA All-Rookie Team member and received CAA Rookie and Player of the Week awards.

As a walk-on starter for the Towson Women's Field Hockey Team during the fall of 2018, she had the opportunity to play with her older sister, Kaitlin Thornton, at Towson from 2018-2022. After graduating from Towson, Kerri transferred to Clemson University from 2022-2024 to finish her lacrosse career and earn her Master's degree. During her time at Clemson, she played a key role in establishing a strong foundation for the program’s inaugural season, contributing to its winning season and helping lead the team to the ACC Tournament. In the 2023-2024 season, Kerri served as team captain and helped lead the team to the ACC Tournament. 

Since graduating from Clemson, Kerri has remained immersed in athletics and currently works in the Athletics Business Office at Brown University. Outside of her full-time role, she coaches for Rev Lacrosse and serves as the Head Coach for the girls' lacrosse team at Barrington High School.
