Zoe Ochoa
Defensive & Goalie Specialist
Zoe began playing lacrosse in Middle School but didn’t transition to goalie until the end of her sophomore year of High School. She went on to play at Boston College, where she was a four-year starter and finished her career at 4th in all-time saves. She helped the program reach several milestones, including its first Elite Eight in 2014 and its first Final Four and National Championship appearance in 2017.
After college, Zoe began her coaching career at UMass, where she spent 3 seasons working primarily with the goalkeepers and defensive units. She continued her playing career with the Philadelphia Force for 2 seasons, and in 2019, she joined the Mexico Nation Team. Competing in multiple international tournaments, she served as team captain at the 2022 World Cup in Maryland, where the team achieved a historic 15th-place finish.
Now, while no longer coaching full time, she remains involved in the sport — volunteering with the Mexican National Team and recently joining the staff at Salve Regina in Newport, RI.
